The Stone Servant

Let this story transport you dreamily into another world, far from the one we all know—a world rich with unimaginable vibrancy and haunting terrors alike.

The Wizard is a talented man, long tormented by the grip of his own crippling grief. Ever since the mysterious loss of his beloved wife, he has shut himself off from the world, spending his days buried in books of fiction and fantasy.

His only companion is an inanimate one—a stone statue named Leni.
One fateful day, while speaking to her as he often does, a strange idea sparks in his mind:

“What fool can turn stone into a living thing?”

The Wizard embarks on a pursuit to craft a concoction that could make the impossible a reality... the first of its kind in history.

The stone woman awakens… but what kind of life is it, to exist as the sole companion of a man drowning in his own sorrow? Leni dreams of open skies and valleys bursting with wildflowers, yet she is tethered to the man who brought her consciousness into being.

What fate awaits the statue cursed with life?

This story was also published as an illustrated paperback in my home country.

Please be sure to remain till the end ( the true end ), as it is my favorite, and most thought-provoking part of the story which opens a window to the greater world that these characters live in.

As an aspiring writer and "worldweaver", I present to you this somewhat untraditional concept of storytelling mixed with game playing. Well... there's not much of a playing aspect at all. There are NO choices in this novel! And while I enjoy having the option to choose the way your story unfolds, I also crave to tell the stories that have collected in my mind as part of a world, which I've given name to (and will reveal in a later release). Vaelmere is mentioned in this particular tale, and it is the region in which events take place. That is only a single area in an expansive map that I've had in the plans for a good handful of years. My earlier project "Shelled Flame" also takes place here (on the northern continent to be exact). Though admittedly it was not yet developed as an idea at the time of its release. 
The story of the "Stone Servant" is canonical in this fictional world and it is very important in the way certain myths and areas develop during the timeline.

So I hope the absence of choices is understandable and not too much of a deal breaker for those of you who enjoy visual novels. :')
